Taylor ACT2 youth will perform “The Princess Who Had No Name,” by Brian D. Taylor at the Virginia Theater, 186 S. State St. in Shelley. The Princess Who Had No Name is a zany fairy tale mash-up that weaves together the feel of a classic fairy tale with the delight of a fractured fairy tale. When a girl wakes up alone in the forest, she has no memory of her past. She can’t remember where she’s from or how she got there. She can’t even remember her own name! All alone, she embarks on a journey to recall her past. Along the way, she meets several fairy-tale characters — Hansel and Gretel, Rumpelstiltskin, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Cinderella and Rapunzel, to name a few. Produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Inc., Englewood, Colorado, the play is directed by Heather Fahnestock of Idaho Falls, with Student Assistant Director Preston Butikofer of Rigby. Performances are Friday and Saturday, April 6th, 7th, 13th and 14th at 7:30 p.m. Cost is $7.00 per adult. Children, seniors, and groups of 6 or more are $6 each. Discount performances on Tuesday, April 10th at 7:30pm and Saturday, April 14th at 2:00pm will have a ticket price of $5 each. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at viginiatheater.org.
